FAQ for brand & sourcing teams
Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to common questions from pet brands, distributors, and private-label buyers about silicone and natural rubber products, customization, quality, and cooperation.
NEWTOP is a professional silicone and natural rubber products manufacturer with 10 years of experience. Our 3,000-square-meter factory in Xiamen, China has more than 50 skilled workers and supports pet brands, wholesalers, distributors, and retailers with product development, sampling, mass production, quality control, packaging, and shipping coordination.
Light customization uses our existing products and molds with your Pantone colors, logo, and packaging. Medium customization adjusts dimensions, textures, functions, or selected design details based on existing tooling. Full customization covers new product development, mold making, sampling, and exclusive designs developed for your brand.
MOQs depend on the product, material, size, packaging, and customization level. Light customization usually has the lowest MOQ and is suitable for testing new SKUs. Medium customization requires a moderate order volume, while full customization normally requires a higher volume to support tooling and development costs. We will recommend a practical MOQ after reviewing your project.
For an efficient evaluation, please share:
- Product type and target pets, including size, age, and chewing strength.
- Target market and sales channels, such as retail, e-commerce, or private label.
- Estimated quantity, target price range, and expected launch date.
- Reference products, sketches, moodboards, or STEP/STP, AI, or PDF files.
Lead times depend on product complexity, material, customization level, and order quantity. The following periods are typical references:
| Order Type | Typical Lead Time |
|---|---|
| Existing-product samples | 3–5 working days |
| Stock products | 1–3 days |
| Small customized batches | 7–15 days |
| Large-volume or custom-mold production | 15–25 days after sample and tooling approval |
Full customization also requires design review, tooling, and sampling before mass production. We will provide a project-specific schedule after confirming the requirements. Urgent orders can be evaluated for production priority.
Sample and courier charges depend on the product and customization level. Existing-product samples normally require a sample fee and freight cost; the sample fee may be credited or refunded according to the bulk-order agreement. Custom prototypes and tooling samples are quoted as part of the development process.
Samples are usually shipped by FedEx, DHL, or UPS and commonly arrive within 5–10 days, depending on the destination. Where practical, multiple colors or products can be combined in one shipment for evaluation.
We focus on silicone and natural rubber pet products, including slow feeder bowls, lick mats, feeding mats, collapsible bowls, treat dispensers, enrichment toys, natural rubber chew toys, balls, grooming tools, and related accessories. We can also develop coordinated product sets and collections for your brand.
We mainly use food-grade silicone for feeding and licking products, and selected natural rubber compounds for chew and enrichment toys. Silicone options can be formulated without BPA, lead, phthalates, latex, or PVC. Natural rubber is a latex-based material, so its formulation, hardness, durability, and test requirements are evaluated separately according to the intended use and target market.
Material specifications and available test reports are confirmed for each project rather than applied as a blanket claim to every product.
Yes. We can provide available raw-material reports and support product testing for target markets such as the United States and the European Union. Food-grade silicone projects may reference requirements such as FDA and LFGB, while natural rubber products are tested according to their formulation, intended use, and destination market. Please share the selling countries and required standards so we can recommend suitable test items, laboratories, and documentation.
Tooling ownership and exclusivity are defined in the project agreement. For full customization, molds can be dedicated to your brand with agreed conditions covering usage rights, storage, maintenance, mold life, and intellectual-property protection.
Yes. We can review sketches, drawings, reference samples, and STEP/STP, AI, or PDF files. Our team can help optimize the structure for molding, material performance, safety, demolding, production efficiency, and cost. Projects can also begin from reference photos or a concept that still needs further development.
Logo options include embossing, debossing, laser marking, pad printing, rotary printing, silk-screen printing, labels, and other methods selected according to the product shape and material. Packaging options include header cards, boxes, sleeves, labels, barcodes, QR codes, and custom inserts.
We can also follow platform-specific packing and labeling requirements, including Amazon FBA requirements, when the specifications are provided in advance.
Our quality-control process normally includes:
- Incoming material checks and verification of approved specifications.
- Pre-production sample approval before mass production.
- In-process inspections during molding, trimming, printing, and assembly.
- Final AQL-based inspection and shipment checks.
Additional checkpoints or third-party inspections can be arranged for larger or ongoing programs. For confirmed manufacturing defects, corrective action, replacement, or an agreed refund will be handled according to the order terms and inspection findings.
Yes. We can pack and label products according to Amazon or other platform requirements and help arrange delivery to one or multiple locations. We can also work with your nominated freight forwarder and follow specified carton markings, palletizing rules, and warehouse labels.
Common payment methods include T/T, L/C, PayPal, and Western Union. The available method depends on the order value and transaction arrangement; T/T is generally more cost-effective for larger orders.
Common shipping terms include FOB, CIF, and DDP. Under DDP, we can coordinate freight, customs clearance, duties, and delivery to the agreed address. Please provide the destination country, city, postal code, order quantity, and packaging information for an accurate shipping quotation.
Pricing is mainly affected by material type, product dimensions and weight, hardness, structure, customization level, logo process, packaging, testing requirements, and order quantity. Light customization is generally the most cost-effective, while medium and full customization include additional engineering, sampling, tooling, and validation costs.
In some cases, an existing mold can be modified for a new logo, size, texture, or limited design change, reducing development time and tooling cost. Feasibility depends on the mold structure, available steel, cavity layout, and required change. We will inspect the design before recommending modification or a new mold.
Silicone feeding products are generally non-porous, stain-resistant, and dishwasher-safe. Depending on the final formulation and product structure, silicone can also be suitable for microwave, oven, freezer, and temperature ranges around −40°C to 250°C. The approved use conditions should always be confirmed for the specific product.
Natural rubber toys require different care. We generally recommend hand washing with mild soap, rinsing thoroughly, and air drying. Avoid dishwashers, prolonged soaking, boiling, and high heat unless the specific product has been validated for those conditions.
We keep production records for materials, colors, molds, and approved samples to improve reorder consistency. If market feedback identifies a confirmed issue or an opportunity for improvement, we can review corrective actions, design adjustments, packaging updates, or next-generation versions for future orders.
